Barton Creek North is a 2500 acre Master Planned Community situated in West Austin, Texas. It's 604 member Master Property Owners Association (BCNPOA) is made up of eleven separate exclusive gated communities, The Barton Creek Country Club and Resort, St. Gabriel's Catholic School, and the Marquis Apartments. The neighborhood is also home to St. Michael's Academy and the Westlake Hills Presbyterian Church. The BCNPOA is controlled by a seven member volunteer Board of Directors.
Properties in Barton Creek North are subject to stringent deed restrictions and oversight of a resident-volunteer Architectural Committee. This ensures that property values are maintained and consistent design guidelines are applied. Each of the ten gated communities is governed by their own unique set of deed restrictions. For example, properties located on golf courses are subject to buffer zone setbacks that require special attention, while other properties have condominium restrictions or specific materials requirements.
Every project, new construction, pools, additions, and even landscape changes must go through the Master Architectural Committee's design review process. All are subject to The Woods at Barton Creek Architectural Guidelines. Please contact the Barton Creek North Office for a copy of these guidelines. The BCNPOA is also responsible for the landscape maintenance of Barton Creek Boulevard from Bee Caves to Lost Creek Boulevard, and for the areas at the Foothills on Lost Creek Boulevard. This maintenance includes all turf areas as well as the gated entryways. Residents are encouraged to report any problems or make any suggestions related to landscaping or irrigation. The BCNPOA also works closely with Travis County on issues related to paving and striping, guardrails, and traffic.
